As I shared when we began this journey, I want everyone in church this week so we can mark the moment with a parish photo. It will capture the faithfulness and intention of those who have chosen to embark with the Lord on this transition to becoming a parish in a few weeks. A shift in name from mission to parish that will mark a shift in our level of commitment to be the church that serves Him and makes Him known for years to come!
I also want to mark the moment of the founding pledging parishioner of Saint Barnabas Anglican Parish through a document we present to Bishop Iker at Diocesan Convention. I hope all 84 households will be represented on the document in thanksgiving for God’s work in our midst through you! And I am so grateful for each of you and look forward to celebrating this historic moment with you on November 16 at Diocesan Convention in Granbury. I know the applause and cheers from over 60 churches that will welcome us to the convention floor that morning will encourage you.
If you cannot attend, please mail your pledge in early so that we have as many as we can gather to present before the Lord on Sunday. Or you may bring it to church on November 10 to place in the basket that day. And don’t forget to join us to celebrate at Camp Crucis for our overnight trip the evening before Diocesan Convention!
